Guide To SEO Style Keyword Articles
December 9, 2009 – 9:54 amSEO articles are hot property on the Internet. The reason being is that every self-respecting marketer uses SEO optimized articles (keyword rich) to help their site rank in the organicĀ search engine results.
Writing SEO style articles is easy. It comes naturally if you are knowledgable on the topic. It takes me about 10 minutes to write an optimized quality SEO article on a topic I’m familiar about.
When you know your niche it is easy to come up with content. I see it as tellingĀ good friend about the topic in a conversational tone. The only difference between talking or writing the article is that by writing you can focus on inserting your keyword in key positions within the article itself.
Here is how I do this:
Title: The article title must contain the keyword (even if it is a long tail – two words or more.) The keyword should be at the beginning of the title if possible.
First paragraph: The keyword needs to be in the first sentence as early as possible to read naturally and well. Then you can place it optionally in the last sentence of the first paragraph. I actually stopped fussing about this second keyword, but it can help rank in certain circumstances (for example if you battle heavily with a competitor.)
Article body paragraphs: The keyword should be used once or twice during the article body while being supplied with related keywords in a natural way. This is also called LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). What I mean by this is that I want the articles to read naturally, written from the perspective of you being knowledgeable about the topic and speaking to your best friend while explaining it.
The easiest and fastest way to do this if you don’t know the topic is to go to ezinearticles.com and look for a decent article on the topic and then rewrite it totally (100%) in your own words. You can put your own spin on it and chop and change however you like as long as it is informative and unique.
The problem with many articles is that they are keyword stuffed. I rather leave out a keyword if it doesn’t naturally flow into the context of the article.
Last paragraph: Your keyword needs to be in the last paragraph. I’m not fussed whether this is in the first or last sentence of this paragraph as long as it is there.
That’s it. Master this little guide to SEO style keyword articles and you are well on your way to kill the competition.
